Practice Philosophy

Although board-certified as a civil trial and appellate lawyer, Claude's practice philosophy is the look at each legal matter as a problem which needs to be solved.  Very often, Court is the last route to resolution.  And litigation is usually expensive, and out of the reach of many persons who have inadequate resources to spend on such pursuits.

Claude has a well-deserved reputation within the legal community as a skilled "troubleshooter" for difficult situations which defy routine handling.  He is plain-spoken to his clients, and trustworthy to his colleagues.  Claude is hired regularly to mediate disputes between litigating parties, with very good results.

Contrary to popular belief, however, often, going to court early can, indeed, be the quickest, least expensive route to resolving routine problems.  This is often the case with difficult parties or matters which are fueled by emotion, or have very sensitive deadlines. Again, the analysis this firm makes is an objective one:  how quickly, courteously and effectively can we resolve your problem with available remedies?  The true measure of a lawyer should be his or her success in answering that question.
